When NetNumber was founded 20 years ago, the mobile communications industry was in its infancy. Flip phones were considered advanced technology but barely had enough memory to store a few important contacts. In many places, you could still go down to the street corner and “drop a quarter” into a pay phone.
So much has changed. Today’s smartphones are like miniature supercomputers. We still use them to make calls, but also to store vital personal and financial information, take pictures of loved ones, hold video meetings, shop, and even entertain ourselves with the thousands of books, TV shows and movies now available online. Some changes have not been positive.
